In music, they are little notes played before a main note. They don't carry any value but if they are played well they add beauty to the music. Their significance is entirely attached to the main note. In life, we are like grace notes. Only when we attach ourselves to the 'Main Note' - Lord Jesus - do we find true meaning to our existence.
